My interview movie is with Mrs. Cassie Skidmore. She is a Kindergarten teacher at North Mobile Christian School. Cassie is also a previous EDM 310 student at the University of South Alabama. Our interview movie is about using technology in the classroom.
Hi Emily, I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Mrs. Skidmore. I think that it is great that she talked about the fact that many schools have limited resources and that she herself has had to be creative in finding ways to bring technology into her classroom. I think what she is doing with the kids pretending to move the mouse while she actually controls it is a great way to get kids started on the computer. I love that she is allowing her students to email their spelling homework to her. They are learning several essential skills with this task it is probably a lot more fun than just writing them down on paper. I think that I will start teaching my four year old to do this at home and she can email them to me. I think technology will make our jobs as teachers much easier than that of teachers in the past.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Skidmore seems to use the little bit of technology that she has in a great way. Her using youtube songs to keep the students engaged is a great idea! Good job!
